The store was designed to code and built as a free-standing structure attached to an existing derelict building.
We cleaned up and “Skinned” (Theatrical Cladding) the existing building to fit into the design. As this was a temporary building and we couldn’t dig for footings; the structure was pinned to the asphalt upon recommendations by an engineer.
I remember the day before the shoot there was to be a Wind Warning for the region and we all hoped everything stayed put and it did. Kudos to Jesse Joslin and our Construction crew.
